Emma B. Resek

Hi, I am so glad that you are here! I grew up in a suburb of St. Louis, Missouri participating in theater with the Muny and Stages St. Louis. After studying sociology for a year, I decided that I couldn't live without performing and applied to MT programs across the country. Although I spend most of my time doing theater, you can also find me gardening  or hiking anywhere and everywhere. 

I dedicated myself to theater because I believe that it is an amazing way for people to simply listen to each other. I knew that theater was what I needed to do with my life after watching a production of Fun Home in the middle of conservative Missouri. There were many conservative people in that theater yet not one got up to leave. Regardless of their opinion on the topic, they all listened, and that so rarely happens in our society. I hope that one day, I have the opportunity to give that feeling to a child, the same way those actors gave it to me.
